The summer sun is warm and gentle, and colorful flags are fluttering in the breeze. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the second anniversary of General Secretary Xi’s inspection of the rare-earth industry, a groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion project of Jinlong Rare Earth’s 20,000-ton magnetic materials production base (Phase III: 4,000 tons) was solemnly held on the morning of May 25 at the project site, aimed at further accelerating the construction of high-value-added rare-earth processing projects.

To thoroughly implement the activities for the 20th National Safety Production Month and actively promote the construction of a dual prevention mechanism, as well as to steadily advance the company’s three-year special campaign for enhancing safety production, the company officially held the kickoff meeting for its 2021 “Safety Production Season” on May 24. Chen Dakun, General Manager of the company, and general managers of various business divisions attended the meeting. Fu Xiuhong, Manager of the Environmental and Safety Management Department, presided over the launch ceremony.

The company is conducting training on standardized management of hazardous waste.
To implement the spirit of the “Plan on Further Strengthening the Standardized Management of Key Enterprises Supervised for Hazardous Waste in Changting County,” issued by the Environmental Protection Bureau of Changting County, Longyan City, and to further improve the company’s environmental supervision system for hazardous waste, the Safety and Environmental Management Department held a training session on standardized management of solid waste on May 13. Department heads, shift supervisors, and hazardous waste management personnel from all departments attended the training.

The April summary meeting for the Rare Earth Metals Division was held.
To continuously build a high-quality rare-earth metals industry chain and address the pain points and challenges in lean manufacturing projects for metals, on the morning of May 12, Manager Cui Hongyan, the chief commander of the lean initiative, convened personnel from various sub-projects in the manufacturing process to the conference room to briefly review the current status of the manufacturing projects. After the meeting, Teacher Tang Weigen from Shuben Technology made a second on-site visit to the metal division’s workshop, providing focused technical guidance and clarifying doubts regarding improvements to the on-site manufacturing processes.

In response to the company’s trade union’s call to “promote learning, practice, and performance through competitions,” and to help employees hone their solid skills and master advanced competencies, two teams from the Magnetic Materials Inspection and Packaging Department recently held a skills competition on the same day but at different times, covering three job positions: gauge inspection, weighing, and shim insertion. The competition lasted for one month of preparation.
