Good News | The company has been awarded the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of Xiamen City.

On March 6, the Xiamen Science and Technology Bureau announced the results of the 2019 Xiamen Science and Technology Awards. The scientific and technological project titled “Preparation Technology and Industrial Application of Low-Heavy Rare-Earth Sintered Neodymium-Iron-Boron Permanent Magnet Materials,” jointly developed by the Magnetic Materials Research Institute of Xiamen Tungsten Technology Center and the company, was awarded the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in the 2019 Xiamen Science and Technology Awards.

On March 10, Wang Weimin, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and his delegation visited our company to conduct on-site research and provide guidance on resuming production and work as well as epidemic prevention and control efforts. Recently, the Party Central Committee issued a call to party members to donate funds to support COVID-19 prevention and control efforts. The Party General Branch of our company immediately took action and promptly made arrangements for implementation. On February 28, it issued the "Notice on Doing a Good Job of Voluntary Donations by Party Members to Support COVID-19 Prevention and Control," systematically organizing party members within each branch to voluntarily contribute funds to support epidemic prevention and control work.

The Party Committee of Xiamen Tungsten conducted a special inspection and supervision mission at the company to ensure strict governance of the Party in all respects.

On January 2, Zhong Kexiang, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Xiamen Tungsten Industry, led a team to conduct an in-depth inspection at the company regarding the implementation of the main responsibility for strict Party governance in 2019 and the progress of Party building work. The team also carried out a special supervision on the implementation of the “1+X” approach to uphold the spirit of the Central Government’s Eight-Point Regulation. To implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, deepen the thematic education campaign "Staying True to Our Original Aspiration and Keeping Our Mission Firmly in Mind," continuously strengthen grassroots Party building and organizational development, and promote harmonious development between villages and enterprises, on September 12, Zhang Yongjian, Secretary of the Party Branch Committee of the company, led a team to carry out a joint Party-building initiative with the Party Branch Committees of the neighboring Héxié Community and Chenfang Village, under the theme “Joint Party Building between Villages and Enterprises to Jointly Promote Harmonious Development.”

To further enhance the “four consciousnesses” among Party member leading cadres, strengthen their “four self-confidences,” and ensure they “two safeguards,” as well as to encourage leadership teams to fulfill their duties conscientiously, unite closely, and forge ahead with determination—this organizational life meeting, held on November 4, was designed as a political checkup for leadership teams and Party member leading cadres to stay true to their original aspirations, shoulder their missions, identify gaps, and implement measures effectively, thereby promoting the company’s high-quality development. The meeting was organized by the company’s Party General Branch and brought together managers at the director level and above.

On September 12, 2019, the Party General Branch of the company held a collective integrity talk ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day.
