On November 27, the “2018 Fujian—Changting Rare Earth and Application Industry Development” seminar, jointly hosted by the People’s Government of Longyan City, China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, the China Electronic Materials Industry Association, the Micro- and Special-Purpose Motors and Components Branch of the China Electronic Components Industry Association, and Xiamen Tungsten Co., Ltd., was held in Changting County.

Zuo Qunsheng, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Group and Deputy General Manager of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation; Mao Yuanjian, former Head of the Discipline Inspection Commission; Yang Wenhao, Secretary-General of the China Rare Earth Industry Association; He Yaohong, Secretary-General of the China Electronic Materials Industry Association; municipal leaders Lin Xinglu and Xie Haibo; Huang Changgeng, Chairman of Xiamen Tungsten Group; Wu Gaochao, President of Xiamen Tungsten Group; Zhong Kexiang, Vice President of Xiamen Tungsten Group; representatives from the Raw Materials Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Office for Military-Civilian Integration of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology; experts and scholars from the national rare earth industry; and heads of relevant enterprises attended the meeting. Vice Mayor Xie Haibo and Pei Erzhang, Deputy Director of the Industrial Department of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, delivered speeches respectively.

The seminar, centered on the theme of “Innovative Applications and Integrated Development,” featured keynote speeches by Xu Xuezhen, General Manager of Beijing Leisheng Qiangshi Technology Co., Ltd. under China Electronics Technology Corporation’s Institute 11; Zhang Ming, Secretary-General of the Magnetic Materials Branch of the China Electronic Materials Industry Association and from CETC Institute 9; and Huang Changgeng, Chairman of Xiamen Tungsten Co., Ltd., who each delivered presentations on the development of the rare-earth artificial crystal industry (laser and scintillation crystals), the development of rare-earth permanent magnet materials, and the development of Xiamen Tungsten’s rare-earth industry, respectively.

After the meeting, the participating leaders and guests visited the company’s rare-earth metal workshop, surface treatment workshop, rare-earth separation workshop, and magnetic materials workshop one after another. They expressed full recognition of the company’s integrated industrial-chain layout, process technologies, and equipment manufacturing capabilities.

The holding of this rare-earth seminar will effectively promote innovative development in the rare-earth industry, further enhance the visibility of Xiamen Tungsten’s rare-earth business, and expand the company’s deepening development in the rare-earth and related application industries, with the aim of striving to build a world-class rare-earth production base.
