— The company’s Party, Labor, and Youth League organizations carried out an activity to offer condolences to retired veteran employees.

August 1, 2020 marked the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. To thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on doing a good job in the work related to veterans and to solidly carry out the “August 1” activities aimed at supporting the military and honoring their families, on August 1, Zhang Yongjian, Deputy Secretary of the company’s Party Branch Committee, led representatives from the company’s Party, Labor, and Youth League organizations to visit and offer condolences to retired military personnel and families of active-duty service members, extending to them festive greetings.

Vice Secretary Zhang and his delegation visited the homes of retired military personnel and representatives of military families, presenting them with festive gifts. At each stop, they engaged in heartfelt conversations, taking careful note of their living conditions and work situations. Vice Secretary Zhang emphasized that these individuals, once clad in military uniforms and bravely fighting to defend our country, now don attire of workers and diligently striving for the development of Jinlong. The retired military personnel are a valuable asset to the company. He also expressed his hope that they would continue to uphold the fine traditions and ethos of the armed forces, remaining true to their spirit even after retirement, setting exemplary standards in their respective positions, and making greater contributions to the company’s growth. As for the vast number of military family members, they have always put the greater good above personal interests, actively supporting their loved ones’ enlistment, putting aside their own small families to care for the larger community. With selfless dedication and quiet perseverance, they have provided the strongest possible backing for our servicemen and women. We extend to them our highest respect and admiration.
