Exhibition of Essay Submissions on “Implementing Safety Responsibilities and Promoting Safe Development”

Safety accompanies me on my journey.

Everyone often hears the saying, “Pay attention and stay safe!”

Although it consists of just six short characters, this phrase carries far more meaning than one might realize: safety is both an expression of care and a reminder—or even a warning—about the importance of staying safe; above all, it reflects a profound reverence for life. The “care” stems from the heartfelt wish of family members to see you healthy and smiling. The “reminder” urges you to approach tasks that involve high risks or great difficulty with utmost seriousness, constantly reminding yourself not to let your guard down. Without getting into how deeply people truly understand this phrase, preventing problems before they occur is something everyone must keep in mind—and absolutely must put into practice. Otherwise, all talk and no action would be nothing but empty rhetoric.

So, let’s prioritize safe production—starting with me, and with me by your side!

Colleagues at the company, for the sake of our enterprise’s growth, for our personal safety, and for the hard-earned happiness of our families—please take “safety” seriously. Only when safety is deeply ingrained in our hearts can our lives truly come first. In ensuring safe production, we all—each and every one of us—must step up and lend our support!

Seven-Character Song on Safe Production

Safety training is regularly conducted; knowledge is abundant and skillfully applied.

Wear personal protective equipment according to standards; protect your body against dust and corrosion.

There’s a contingency plan for acid and alkali leaks; everyone practices, and everyone excels!

Follow the operating procedures when using the equipment; master the operation and avoid impatience.

Safety permits and documents are complete; perimeter warnings ensure safety.

Conduct thorough and rigorous inspections; ensure production safety.

Each link in the chain depends on the next; only with foolproof measures can we ensure safety.

Safety responsibilities must be firmly implemented; promote the great development of safety.

Practice safe production. Practice safe production.
Record: Huang Chenggui, the Precipitation Class

Through the launch and planning of the Safety Production Season, as well as the explanations provided by the activity leaders, team leaders are actively implementing the distinctive activities of the Safety Production Season. The team leader has been guiding employees to conduct inspections of safety hazards at their respective workstations, adopting both their own perspectives and those of external personnel to identify potential safety risks. During the hazard identification process on May 15, operator Huang Chenggui discovered a leak in the steam valve at his workstation, which was causing steam and air leakage and jeopardizing safe operations.

Huang Chenggui confirmed the selection of the steam valve through communication with the fitter. As soon as the equipment parts arrived, he promptly replaced the valve. His swift action enabled the LA3 furnace in the settling hall to resume normal production, effectively eliminating a potential safety hazard in the production process, conserving steam usage, and completely removing this significant safety risk.

What is safety? Safety means cherishing and protecting human life from harm; safety is the harbor of happiness in life; safety is the prerequisite for a better life.

Although everyone talks about safety, in real life, shocking accidents happen all too often—and each one serves as a painful lesson. As people working in the rare-earth industry, we face so many pieces of production equipment every day and undergo countless frequent operations daily. With an ever-growing number of equipment at our workstations, how can we ensure our safety? It depends on our sense of responsibility! It depends on the company’s rules and regulations! And it depends on our aspiration for a brighter tomorrow!

Through our Safety Production Season, we’ve identified existing problems and potential safety hazards in our operations. This calls for us to address these issues diligently and systematically, correcting the unsafe practices and habits we’ve developed over time. We must strengthen our safety vigilance and, even more importantly, put the company’s lean production principles into practice. By implementing the 7S methodology, we can ensure that our operations become safer and smoother. Through TPM, we can effectively address equipment-related safety risks. Moreover, by investing in talent development, we’ll enhance both our operational skills and our ability to identify potential safety hazards—providing us with valuable insights and experience to help us spot and resolve issues more effectively.

Practicing safe production won't stop at just one safe-production season. As long as production continues, safety will never cease.

Never forget our original commitment to quality—safety accompanies me on every step of the way.

Remembering the burning class—Liu Tuchang’s fleeting moments.

Time flies by in the hustle and bustle of work. From a complete novice in technology, Zhuo Shouchang has risen to become the company’s “position-skills operator”—a journey filled with countless ups and downs.

No matter how heavy the production tasks may be, he actively complies with his supervisor’s arrangements and requirements at work. When it comes to new equipment and new processes, he humbly learns professional skills from his colleagues and engineers. While ensuring safe production and timely order fulfillment, he never forgets the importance of technological innovation.

To ensure the smooth delivery of new product orders, we diligently study and master the equipment at our workstations. We proactively identify and propose individual improvement suggestions for any unreasonable aspects of equipment usage, and then implement these improvements in practice, keeping the equipment in optimal condition. Several of our rationalization proposals have been adopted by the business unit. While never neglecting safety during production, our improvement efforts not only enhance product manufacturing capacity but also effectively safeguard the safety of both personnel and equipment throughout the production process.

Having worked at the factory for five years, I’ve never forgotten my original commitment to quality. Believing that safety is the foundation of both family and personal happiness, I strictly adhere to all safety operating procedures, ensuring that every day’s work is completed with both quality and quantity, thus contributing steadily to the company’s progress.
