To enhance the safety awareness and emergency evacuation capabilities of personnel in each team within the business division, and to hone the emergency command skills of various response teams, the Magnetic Materials Business Division organized a nighttime evacuation drill on the evening of July 1st.
This exercise was conducted simultaneously at two venues—the old and the new factory areas. Through preliminary planning, evacuation routes and assembly points were identified for three workshops in each of the two factory areas. These assembly points will also serve as permanent assembly locations for future emergency situations within the business unit.
At the drill site, as soon as the evacuation order was given by the chief commander, the evacuation alarm sounded immediately in each workshop. In the old plant area of the Magnetic Materials Division, personnel from the four workshops and in the new plant area from the two workshops responded swiftly and acted promptly, orderly following the evacuation routes to the nearest safe exits for evacuation.
During the exercise, the emergency response team members were clearly assigned tasks and quickly took their positions. At various intersections, they directed evacuees to safe areas, successfully guiding nearly 450 people to the designated assembly point. Subsequently, each squad immediately assembled and conducted a headcount, then reported their findings sequentially to the overall commander. After verifying that the headcount was accurate, the overall commander declared the drill over.
After the drill concluded, Fan Yufeng, the chief commander of the old plant area, and Fu Donghui, the chief commander of the new plant area, emphasized in their summary of the exercise that the purpose of this drill was to ensure all employees know how to evacuate safely in an emergency and where the safest evacuation routes are. They also underscored the importance of the designated assembly points for evacuation. At the same time, they made it clear that evacuation drills will be conducted on a regular basis, turning emergency evacuation skills into instinctive responses and making them an integral part of everyone’s survival toolkit.
