To enhance procurement efficiency, strengthen internal control and compliance, reduce procurement operating costs, and build integrated end-to-end procurement processes as well as comprehensive lifecycle management for suppliers, the company officially held the SRM system project kickoff meeting on June 7.

Chen Dakun, General Manager of the company; Sun Weixing, General Manager of the Group’s Operations Management Center; Cai Pan Ying, General Manager of Qianlu Company; leaders from various business divisions; and relevant procurement personnel attended the meeting. Wang Baolong, Manager of the Procurement and Logistics Department, presided over the launch ceremony.

At the outset of the meeting, Manager Hou Song from the Operations Management Center of Xiamen Tungsten Group provided a detailed introduction to the overall construction plan for the Jinlong SRM system project and the 2021 annual plan for the full-scale launch of the SRM system.

Subsequently, the company’s leadership engaged in a discussion and exchange regarding the system launch schedule. Lai Xing, the company’s Operations Director, expressed his appreciation for the preliminary work—including the current-state assessment and requirements analysis—carried out during the project’s early stages. He emphasized that building an efficient procurement information system is of great significance and put forward specific requirements concerning the project’s organizational structure, responsibilities, and schedule plan.

Sun Weixing, General Manager of the Group’s Operations Management Center, stated that digital transformation is a key component of the group’s five-year plan. By launching the SRM system, the group aims to achieve efficient collaboration in internal order management and external supplier management. He emphasized that the SRM project requires close cooperation and support from multiple departments, as well as an open-minded and proactive attitude from all project team members, to ensure timely go-live.
Cai Pan Ying, General Manager of Qianlu Company, stated that the development of the SRM system and the work on master data involve a substantial workload and require strict project management. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a bi-weekly regular meeting and a monthly regular meeting mechanism for summarizing and reporting on project progress.
At the conclusion of the meeting, General Manager Chen Dakun delivered a summarizing speech. He emphasized that procurement work should focus on both “increasing revenue and reducing expenditure”—not only striving for cost savings but also taking on the critical responsibility of boosting revenue. By implementing the SRM system, we can systematically enhance procurement efficiency, concentrating efforts on key areas such as supplier sourcing, market research, and supplier management, ultimately realizing the full value of our procurement supply chain. All relevant business departments should actively participate, coordinate efficiently, and ensure daily progress and continuous improvement. We must tackle challenges head-on and overcome difficulties to guarantee the successful achievement of the SRM project’s objectives.
